Palestine: Israeli army demolishes shop, structures near Jerusalem

By Chris Carlson
International Middle East Media Center: Israeli bulldozers continued with their demolitions, Tuesday morning, beginning with a barrack in Hizma, to the north of Jerusalem, under the pretext that the structure had been built without a permit and was located near the separation barrier.

Eyewitnesses said that the bulldozers also demolished a shop belonging to Firas Sallah el-Deen, and confiscated the contents of the shop, according to the Palestinian News Network (PNN).
Furthermore, Israeli forces closed several shops in the area, intending to demolish them later.

Soon after, bulldozers also destroyed two other structures and barracks in Silwan, to the east of Jerusalem.

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli bulldozers later demolished two buildings belonging to Akram Ali al-Qonbor and other barracks belonging to Wazo family, the PNN has reported.

Israeli forces kidnapped six Palestinians on Tuesday, including one minor, in the West Bank districts of Hebron, Salfit and Jenin, according to reports by local and security sources.

Forces also invaded the nearby village of ad-Dhahiriya, where they arrested a 45-year-old local resident, WAFA reports. Two other people from the nearby city of Dora were also abducted while on their way to the city of Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank.
