Palestine: Eighteen killed Friday before dawn in Israeli ground invasion of Gaza

IMEMC News: Reports continue to come in of repeated airstrikes, naval artillery strikes and tank fire in every part of the Gaza Strip Friday morning.
In Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, the Israeli military bombarded homes, killing two and wounding around twenty five others, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The two killed were identified by medical sources as:
1. Amal Khader Ibrahim Dabbour, 40, Beit Hanoun
2. Ismail Yousef Taha Qassim, 59, Beit Hanoun.

In Khan Younis, the bombardment continued as well. Four Palestinians were killed, all members of the same family. They were identified as:
3. Ahmed Radwan
4. His brother Mahmoud Radwan
5. Bilal Radwan and
6. Monther Radwan
Five Palestinians were wounded in the attack on the Radwan family home.

Also Friday morning, two members of the family in Khan Younis were pulled from the rubble of their home after it was hit by an Israeli airstrike. They were identified as:
7. Hani As’ad Abdul-Karim Shami, 35, Khan Younis.
8. Mohammad Hamdan Abdul-Karim Shami, 35, Khan Younis.

These eight casualties are in addition to the ten listed below, who were also killed on Friday.

Hospitals in Gaza are overwhelmed with patients wounded in the ongoing Israeli assault, and many are lacking in even basic medical supplies due to the siege on Gaza by Israel and Egypt which has been ongoing since 2006.

At least seven Palestinians have been killed, five by Israeli tank fire, early Friday, Gaza time, including a five-month-old baby, according to medics.

One five-month-old baby and one as of yet unidentified 22-year-old were killed in separate incidents of tank shelling in southern Rafah, Ma’an News Agency has reported.

Two men were additionally killed in tank shelling in northern Beit Hanun; another death was reported to occur in Rafah, according to emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra.

On Thursday, 3 children were killed while playing with their cousin on the roof of their Gaza apartment.

250 dead have been named as a result of Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza, at the time of this report.

9. Mohammad Abdul-Fattah Rasha Fayyad, 26, Khan Younis.
10. Mahmoud Mohammad Fayyad, 25, Khan Younis.

Just one Israeli has been killed by resistance rocket fire from Gaza since the Israeli assault on Gaza began in earnest on July 8th
