Syria: Thousands flee camps after Daesh attacks

By Levent Tok and Selen Temizer

ANKARA (AA): Thirty thousand Syrians sought refuge near the Turkish border Friday after the Daesh terrorist group targeted three other camps in the northern province of Aleppo, according to Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) officials.

IHH staff working at the Turkish-Syrian border told Anadolu Agency that Daesh attacked three refugee camps in Azaz causing 30,000 people to flee to Sejo camp and another facility near the Bab al-Salama border crossing, known as Oncupinar in the Turkish province of Kilis.

On Thursday, Daesh retaliated against the Syrian opposition’s advance on the Azaz-Jarabulus line by attacking three refugee camps, leaving at least one woman and a child dead, as well as many others injured.

Sources reported that the terrorist group set tents on fire and took hostages.

Opposition groups from the Sultan Murad, Mutasim Brigades, al-Sham Legion and Ahrar al-Sham supported by U.S.-led international coalition air forces, have been in intense battles with Daesh for a week.
