Lebanon: Arsonists set fire to six cars in southern Lebanon

Unidentified arsonists set fire to six vehicles on the eastern outskirts of Lebanon’s southern city of Tyre Friday overnight, state media reported.

The National News Agency said civil defense forces had rushed in to douse the flames which left charred two Mercedes, three BMWs and a “Rapid” in different villages near Tyre.

The two Mercedes, set ablaze on a road connecting the villages of Yanouh and Tair Dibba, belonged to Mohammed Faqih.

In Yanouh, the arsonists set fire to a Rapid owned by Qasim Raza.

A BMW belonging to Ali Younes was set on fire outside an auto parts shop in the Jilou Valley.

And on a road connecting the towns of Juwaya and Debaal, the arsonists burned two more BMWs parked outside the Massoud Wehbe Foundation.

Motive in the attack was unclear.
