KABUL, (Xinhua): Two soldiers of the NATO-led coalition forces were killed in a suicide bombing earlier Monday in eastern Afghan province of Paktia which also claimed the lives of 10 children and an Afghan cop and injured 16 others, the coalition confirmed.

“Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members were killed during a vehicle borne improvised explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan today. The attack also killed and wounded several Afghan civilians,” the NATO-led ISAF said in a press statement.

The bloody incident took place at 10:50 a.m. local time Monday when a militant detonated his explosive-laden motorcycle in front of the district office building in Samkani district of Paktia province 100 km south of Kabul.

The blast killed 10 school children passing the area and injured 15 school children.
